Construction Industry Licensing Board
The Construction Industry Licensing Board is responsible for licensing and regulating the construction industry. The Board meets to consider applications for licensure, to review disciplinary cases, and to conduct informal hearings relating to licensure and discipline. The Board engages in rulemaking to implement the provisions set forth in its statutes and conducts other general business as necessary.
Contractor licenses are issued by certification or registration. A certified license allows you to practice throughout Florida. A registered license allows you to practice only within the locale you are registered in. If you are registered to do work in Gadsden County, you can submit an application to go before the Gadsden County Construction Industry Licensing Board.
