If you have certain misdemeanor warrants, fines, and court costs in Gadsden County, Gadsden County Judge Kathy Garner’s Amnesty Day is just for you.
“If you need a fresh start and want to put your legal troubles behind you in Gadsden County, then you should attend the Gadsden County Misdemeanor/Traffic Court Clinic,” Judge Garner said. “You can attend this clinic without the fear of being arrested and the assistance needed to get you back on the right track.”
Cases that will be handled if the participant is eligible include.
• Resolve old outstanding failure to appear capias (Misdemeanor/Traffic Misdemeanor cases only).
• Resolve old outstanding violations of probation capias (Misdemeanor/Traffic Misdemeanor cases only).
• Failure to pay court costs, fines and fees.
• Reduce or waive court costs.
Allow Community Service Hours or Gadsden County Work Program in lieu of court costs.
Re-establishment of payment plan.
• Diversion.
• Negotiated pleas.
• Traffic infractions (not including fatalities or injury).
• Non-DUI related cases
• Florida Driver’s Licenses reinstatement.
Sealing/Expunging of records information.
Interested people should come to the Gadsden County Courthouse on Saturday, June 22, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. They can also contact the Gadsen County Clerk’s Office at 850.875.8601 for more information on participation eligibility.
